photolog: Job Done!On Saturday, we finally finished it - broken bricks were placed at the bottom to aid drainage, lined using a large woven plastic groundsheet with our garden and held in place with copious amounts of duct tape (what else?)  |

photolog: Building a wall... ...Or rather a raised bed - this has kept me busy over the last three weekends, but finally, the bricklaying is finished - now we've just got to wait for the mortar to finish drying, line it, fill it with soil, and get planting - It's wonderful to see something we've been planning for ages finally come to fruition! |

My Brother got me an eggling for my birthday, but I've only just gotten around to cracking its shell. Hopefully it should start sprouting soon...

photolog: Drive thru littering
This is a pet annoyance of mine. We live about 5 miles from the nearest McDonald's, yet I frequently find McLitter cast aside on the road outside our house. This means somebody has gone to the effort of making a 10 mile car journey, yet can't go to the effort of finding a bin for their rubbish.

photolog: Doggy Carrot Treats
One of the Christmas gifts we recieved, from my parents, was Mary MacPherson's K-9 Cookbook - a book of dog biscuit recipes and a set of bone shaped cutters.First we tried out a cheesy biscuit recipe, and then tried our own Carroty version (pictured above) which went all down really well - both with the dog, and with us humans, since they contain nothing unpalatable to us, bar a lack of salt! All in all a great find, and sure to save us heaps of money on dog treats! |
